STEVEN BAKER GETS 1ST CAREER WIN IN LITTLE LINCOLN CHAMPIONSHIP

Steven Baker saved the best for last as he recorded his first career win in the final event of the season, the 12-lap Little Lincoln Delaware State Championship. Baker has been competing for four year and this by far was his best ever performance.

Tim Archer led the first two laps before Baker moved on top. Tim Archer settled into third with Mark Cashdan running in fourth. Dylan Betts was on the move and took third at the halfway sign. The first of two cautions was out on lap eight when Jamie Wager got around. Two laps later Ryan Walsen broke a rear wheel coming off the fourth turn and flipped hard. Walsen was shaken but not injured.

Cashdan would mount a challenge in the closing laps but Baker made no mistakes and drove to his first win. Cashdan posted a personal best in second with Bill Brittingham coming from the rear to finish in third. Fourth went to Wagner and Donald Robinson, Jr. rounded out the top five.

RESULTS: Little Lincoln Championship Finish: 1. Steven Baker; 2. Mark Cashdan; 3. Bill Brittingham; 4. Jamie Wagner; 5. Donald Robinson Jr.; 6. Jeff Adkins; 7. Mike Warshaure; 8. John Stevenson; 9. Buddy Bozman; 10. Brian Naylor; 11. Dylan Betts; 12. Tim Archer; 13. Ryan Walsen.
