WILLS WINS AGAIN IN MOD LITES

Brandon Sturgis led the first five laps of the 15-lap Mod Lite feature. Tim White was making his first start of the year and worked his way past Zac Weller to take second. White continued his charge taking the lead on lap six but Jimmy Wills came blasting from third on the next circuit and took the lead on lap seven.

A scary moment occurred with five to go when Weller barrel rolled off the third turn. The youngster was shaken but not injured in the hard crash. Wills controlled the remaining laps to take the win and extend his point lead in the division. Brandon Dennis chased him in the closing laps to finish in second with Ray Gulliver, who set fast time in qualifying, finishing third. Fourth went to Sturgis and Landis Musser made a late race charge to finish in fifth.

Mod Lite Finish: 1. Jimmy Wills; 2. Brandon Dennis; 3. Ray Gulliver; 4. Brandon Sturgis; 5. Landis Musser; 6. James Hill; 7. Alan Passwaters; 8. Josh Clark; 9. Aaron VanVorst; 10. Jake Nelson; 11. Tim White; 12. Jason Musser; 13. Ryan Dryden; 14. Harry Mears; 15. Mike  Stratton; 16. Zac Weller; 17. Kirk Miles Sr.
