DWAYE HECK WINS TONY STEELE MEMORIAL IN VINTAGE CARS

A solid field of 20 cars were on hand for the Tony Steele Memorial 12-lap Vintage Stock Car feature. Rob Schirmer led the first lap but spun in turn four to bring out the first of only two cautions. Dwayne Heck was now on the point and Jim Pride, Jr. worked by C.J. Schirmer to take second. By the halfway point the top five were Heck, Pride, Colby Steele, C.J. Schirmer and Chuck Tucker.

 

The final yellow came out with four to go when Mitch Morton spun right in front of the leader. Heck managed to get by and held the off Pride, Jr. to the checkered for his second win of the season. Colby Steele finished in third with Freddy Brightbill coming on strong to finish in fourth and Tucker rounded out the top five. First Sportsman was Don Davidson who finished 13th overall.
