WILLS WINS BATTLE AND RACING IN MOD LITES

Jimmy Wills set fast time in qualifying and with the zero inversion draw started on the pole. Brandon Dennis pressured Wills from the drop of the green At the halfway sign the top five were Wills, Dennis, Ray Gulliver, Landis Musser and Mike Stratton.

With five to go Dennis made light contact with Wills going into the first turn but it was just enough to get Wills sideways. The caution came out but Wills made a great save and kept moving with allowed him to return to the top spot for the restart.  Again Dennis applied the pressure but with three to go spun to avoid contact with Wills and tangled with Landis Musser and Zac Weller.

Wills would hold off Gulliver for the final two laps to collect his sixth win and extend his point lead. Gulliver finished in second with Stratton third. Fourth went to Jason Musser and James Hill rounded out the top five. On the final lap Landis Musser got out of shape on the back straight and was hit by Ryan Dryden who flipped end over end down the back straight. Neither driver was injured in the hard crash.

Mod Lite Finish: 1. Jimmy Wills; 2. Ray Gulliver; 3. Mike  Stratton; 4. Jason Musser; 5. James Hill; 6. Brandon Sturgis; 7. Curt Miles Jr; 8. Aaron VanVorst; 9. Zac Weller; 10. Josh Clark; 11.
