MATT HILL MAKING A RUN IN CRATE MODELS
Sparky White set fast time in the Crate Model qualifying but a ten car inversion draw would put Jamie Eichholz on the pole for the 15-lap feature. Eichholz led the first four circuits before first year driver, Steven Baker moved on top. Matt Hill was on the move from his sixth starting position and took the lead for lap seven just as the only caution of the race came out when Zac Weler came to a stop on the front straight.
Robbie Walls, Jr. grabbed second on the restart but was not able to run down Hill who drove to his second straight win and his seventh of the season. Walls, Jr. finished a solid second with Mike Wharton coming from eighth to finish in third. Fourth went to point leader, Joe Warren who started in the ninth starting spot and Sparky White came from tenth to nip Baker at the finish for fifth.
