SPARKY WHITE GETS FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON IN CRATES

David Nailor set the pace for the first four laps of the Crate Model 15-lap feature. Going into the first turn on lap four Nailor got a little loose and Alessa Young made contact with Nailor going around bringing out the yellow. Young was able to keep going and was the new leader with Sparky White up to second. At the halfway sign the top five were Young, White, Tyler Reed, Mike Wharton and Robbie Walls, Jr.

Young held the lead and would make no mistake until lap 12 when she left the bottom groove open coming off the second turn and Sparky White moved on top. White went on to his first win of the season with Young holding off Reed for second. Walls, Jr. finished in the fourth spot and Wharton rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Wilson and Steven Baker. Matt Hill who sat out the feature earned his second Crate Model Championship in three years.

Crate Model Finish: 1. Sparky White; 2. Alessa Young; 3 Tyler Reed; 4. Robbie Walls Jr.; 5. Mike Wharton; 6. Jamie Eicholz; 7. David Nailor; 8. Kelly Putz; 9. Steven Baker; 10. Richard Harden; 11. Mike Wilson; DNS: Matt HillDSC00708
