MIKE STRATTON NETS $1515 WITH 2ND CONSECUTIVE FALL CHAMP WIN

Mike Stratton ended his up and down season on a high note in the 20-lap Mod Lite Championship. Stratton and Tim White started one-two by virtue of their heat wins on Friday night. White’s night would be shot lived as the engine let go bringing out the yellow on lap two. On the restart Nick Sapp picked up the chase.

At the halfway sign the top five were Stratton, Sapp, Aaron VanVorst, Ryan Charland and Ty Short. While Stratton and Sapp stayed steady the remainder of the top five swapped positions with Short climbing to third with two laps to go. Stratton went on to win his second Fall Championship in a row. With the win Stratton earned a big payday receiving $1250 for the win, $240 in lap leader money and $25 for supporting breast cancer awareness from Carolyn Parsons for a hefty $1515! Sapp finished in second with Short third. Jason Musser recovered from an early spin to finish fourth and VanVorst rounded out the top five.

Mod Lite Finish: 1. Mike Stratton; 2. Nick Sapp; 3. Ty Short; 4. Jason Musser; 5 Aaron VanVorst; 6. Brandon Sturgis; 7. Brandon Keim; 8. Harry Mears; 9. Brian Short; 10. Ryan Charland; 11.
