WATSON CRUISES TO THIRD WIN IN H.A.S. BIG BLOCK MODS AT DELAWARE

Delmar, Delaware- Joseph Watson took the early lead on lap four to cruise to his third win of the season in the Hurlock Auto and Speed Big Block Modifieds. “I knew I needed to get out front first. Last week I took too much time getting through traffic,� said Watson in post-race interview.

Watson took the lead from Kevin Sockriter and developed a half straightaway lead by lap seven, with HJ Bunting, Sockriter, and Jordan Watson following in suit.

A halfway caution for a slowing Scott VanGorder regrouped the field. Jordan Watson and Matt Hawkins battled for the next 12 laps door-to-door for the top three position, as Joseph Watson and Bunting kept a comfortable pace out front.

Interestingly, Jordan Watson was combating a racecar with two flat front tires throughout the duration of the event.

Joseph Watson would go unchallenged over Bunting, Jordan Watson, Kyle Fuller, and Matt Hawkins to capture his third win of the season.

 

Greg Humlhanz continued his winning ways, taking the checkered flag for the sixth time this season. The lead position deemed to be unlucky, as Nick Alberti and Trent VanVorst both spun when in the number one spot. Humlhanz would jump out to a nearly straightway lead over Danny Smack, Sean Metz, Adam White, and Jason Rush.

 

 

James Hill continued his complete domination in the 20-lap Modified Lite Dirt Track Championship qualifier, taking the lead on lap one and stretching to a commanding lead.
