JAMES HILL WINS 10TH IN MOD LITE TUSA FOUNDATION RACE

The Mod Lite 20 lap main was a TUSA Foundation event with sponsorship by the Delaware Auto Exchange and bonus money being sponsored by other businesses in each segment. Ty Short jumped out front with Nick Nash and Jason Musser in the top three. Short would lead until halfway with Nick Sapp working into second until James Hill, who started in tenth, climbed into second just before halfway.

At the start of the third segment, Hill would motor past Short to take the lead. Jake Nelson would nip Nick Sapp at the line to make it into the final five lap segment. Hill had no problems in the final laps and cruised to his tenth win of the year. Short finished in the second spot and Nelson had his best run of the season finishing in the third spot. The Preston Automotive Group, I.G. Burton of Milford and Holly Kia of Felton, Del. gave a $100 bonus to the highest finisher that was eliminated in each of the first three segments and the Hertrich’s Family of Dealerships gave a $100 bonus to the winner. Those bonus winners were Kirk Miles, Harry Mears, Nick Sapp and James Hill.

Mod Lite Finish: 1. James Hill; 2. Ty Short; 3. Jake Nelson; 4. Nick Sapp; 5. Jason Musser; 6. Curt Miles Jr; 7. Tim White; 8. Harry Mears; 9. Nick Nash; 10. Ryan Dryden; 11. Kirk Miles Sr; 12. James Wood; 13. Caleb Sturgis; DNS: Brain Short.DSC00978
